It's no mistake that BR rhymes with PR!

Baton Rouge is home to some of the best Public Relations people in the industry. In addition to the prestigious Manship School housed on LSU's campus, Louisiana has a history of populism that extends beyond politics. We eat, sleep and breathe community here, so regardless of whether a PR professional works in the governmental, private or nonprofit sector, you will be tested by Pulitzer Prize winning journalists and a public that is used to being heard and speaking loudly.

Louisiana is tested regularly by man-made and natural crises that lead us to hone our skills and build our PR community.

Please join our chapter, or if you are a member already, get engaged. I promise you'll learn something from your peers and teach your colleagues something soon. It is time to Relate Yourself!

Mark of Excellence Awards Reception and PRSA Board Installation Ceremony

The new Officers and Board Members will be introduced to the membership at the PRSA Installation Ceremony that is set for Monday, February 24 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the City Club in Downtown Baton Rouge.

Mark of Excellence

At the Installation Ceremony, PRSA will recognize Bettsie Baker Miller, APR, as our 2014 recipient of the Mark of Excellence Award. This honor recognizes a local public relations professional who has made outstanding contributions to the profession throughout their career and through their level of professional excellence, achievement as well as community involvement.

The award was initiated to recognize and honor communications professionals in Louisiana who have distinguished themselves throughout their career. The award is one of lifetime achievement rather that recognition for an outstanding achievement for one year or for one communication’s issue.
