PRSA Baton Rouge Chapter

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Baton Rouge Chapter develops and fosters local practitioners to become leaders of the Baton Rouge PR community. Utilizing the outstanding resources of the national organization, the Baton Rouge Chapter seeks to equip professionals with the latest information on emerging trends and communications tools, while maintaining the highest ethical standards in practice.

Each year, PRSA Baton Rouge coordinates three events designed to meet the needs of members and non-members alike, with a focus on the continuing education of all public relations practitioners in the Baton Rouge region. The events include:

A joint venture with the LSU Manship School, such as bringing in a national lecturer;
A joint venture with PRSSA chapter(s) at LSU and Southern University, and/or other Louisiana colleges and universities; and
A Member Social for all members and potential members.

PRSA National

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the nation’s largest community of public relations and communications professionals. We provide training, set standards of excellence and uphold principles of ethics for the global public relations profession. As a leading voice in the industry, we also advocate for greater understanding and adoption of public relations services. PRSA’s 21,000 members represent nearly every practice area and professional and academic setting in the public relations field. In addition, more than 10,000 college students are members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
